For your consideration, we are offering for sale this vintage circa 1959 Sheaffer PFM IV Black Pencil. This pencil has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned, and put back together and now is in wonderful operating and writing condition.The PFM came in five principal models, varying by cap and trim color. What we have here is the PFM IV. The PFM models below for your reference: PFM I - Single color plastic cap and barrel, polished stainless steel clip, and cap band. The PFM I is the only model without the White Dot. PFM II - Frosted stainless steel cap and plastic barrel, polished stainless steel clip, and cap band. PFM III - Single color plastic cap and barrel, gold-filled clip, and cap band. PFM IV - Stainless steel cap and plastic barrel, gold-filled clip. PFM V - Gold plated cap and plastic barrel, gold-filled clip.This pencil cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.
