This Targa Ballpoint Pen is considered one of the harder-to-find colors. This ballpoint pen was part of a purchase from a Stationary Store in Georgia where I acquired nearly 25 New Old Stock Fountain, Rollerball, and Ballpoint Pens in the Targa design - this is just one set of them. This writing instrument is a Sheaffer Targa Classic Fountain Pen and is model number 1036-2 with production beginning in 1978 till 1982. This Sheaffer Targa Classic Ballpoint pen is like new as it has never been used. This Sheaffer Targa displays a Blue Ronce Laque finish with 23-carat gold electroplated trim. The depth and quality of this finish are a result of being individually hand lacquered 14 times and polished by hand to a deep, luminous glow. The top of the cap is stamped, "SHEAFFER".
