This fountain pen has never been inked and always contained in the box from a non-smoking person's home. I consider this pen New Old Stock and Mint Condition with original box with Sheaffer literature. This Sheaffer Legacy displays a gorgeous polished Hand-applied Black Laque finish with 23K gold electroplated trim fitted with a solid 18K/750 gold nib. The cap and barrel have absolutely no damage, dents, wear to the finish. This fountain pen has never been inked and in Mint Condition. This Fountain Pen measures 5 1/2" inches capped and 5 3/4" posted. This writing instrument is a Sheaffer Legacy Fountain Pen and is model number 840 with production from 1995 to 1999.
