Beautiful set by Gemrig of Phil, Penn. Label inside with address of 109 Sth 8th Street. the set is key latched. Unusual in this set is the presence of a folded tongue retractor. The exterior escutcheon is marked Dr. Hale. All instruments are marked Gemrig, including the tourniquet. Circa 1870.
