Edwardian Black Sequin Hat Pin 1900 Horsehair Ball 4 Inch Long Hatpin Tea Party

This is an antique late Victorian or Edwardian era hatpin or hat pin with a black sequin or sequined ball at the top and black Japanned pin. The hatpin measures 4 inches long and the sequin ball finial measures  1.5 inches in diameter. This antique hat pin was made 1890-1910s and may be a mourning hatpin, worn during the year long Victorian mourning period, or just a formal accessory. The sequined ball is slightly soft if you squeeze it and may be filled with horsehair which was a common practice during that period. A lovely hatpin, and wonderful antique accessory. The black sequin hat pin is in very good +++ used vintage condition. A great fashion accessory! So perfect for a tea party!
