Fabulous antique English hallmarked sterling silver & faux tortoise shell dressing or vanity set including hand mirror, brushes with beautiful sterling pique inlay and all in the original opulent fitted storage and/or presentation box! A truly gorgeous set! We've had this type of shell & pique in all sorts of items, jewelry caskets, inkwells, stationery boxes and more. This set with Birmingham hallmarks for Adie Brothers Ltd. and a date mark for 1902. A stamp inside the lid of the box reads "T.W. Long & Co., Goldsmiths - Silversmiths, 28 Castle Street, Swansea & At Cardiff". Wonderful decorative accents for a guest or master bath! Very good to excellent condition. The comb has seen better days, with quite a few teeth missing but no damage to any of the other pieces other than some discoloration to the bristles. See pictures for all measurements.
