Antique French 24pc Silver & Carved Ivory Handled Table Knife Set, Stainless Blades
Elegant antique French 24pc table knife set, a 2pc setting for twelve with carved genuine ivory handles with sterling silver or silver-plate collars or ferules and pristine stainless steel blades! Wow, what a beautiful set and quite comprehensive! The set includes twelve larger dinner knives and twelve luncheon or entremet sized knives. The blades are all marked with what appears to be "Rousseaux, Anvers". Without testing the silver handle caps and collars or ferrules, I honestly can't tell if they are sterling silver or silver-plate. They have an ever-so-slight goldish hue to them. All previous sets that we've had similar we were sure they were sterling and so we're pricing this set as if plate. Gorgeous and in rare pristine, usable condition. Ready to impress! A lovely set!Very good to excellent condition. There are a few age or drying splits visible in the handles but no breaks or other damage.
