Antique French Crystal Dessert or Fruit Service, Tray, Bowl & Dishes with Ladle
Ah, can't you see your table now - setting up for a romantic dinner for the two of you, and your fruit or dessert service comes out as this elegant 19th century beauty. Opulently hand decorated in raised gold enamel as well as rimmed in gold on that stunning old punch /serving ladle, it rises to any occasion. The crystal transitions beautifully from amethyst color to clear and is in a fluted form (varying thickness in the creation) so it adds an extra shimmer and appeal. Still on the original matching serving tray, there are 5 pieces in all. Two serving goblets, one label, the punch or fruit bowl, and the under tray. I am unsure whether it is by St. Louis, or Baccarat. Both made this elegant type of glass and crystal work in the 1800s. What I can attest to is the true beauty of the set. I can't wait to use it! Don't buy it too quickly, please. ; ) Very good to excellent condition throughout. No chips nor nips at all to report. Slight wear to some of the raised gold. Im sure this set wo
