Antique French or Flemish Tapestry Fragment, Panel, Knight's Armor 12.5" x 9.5"
This is from my private stash. I'm disbursing panels I just am never going to get to make up in to those lush opulent down-filled throw pillows I love. YOU get to do it, instead. A superb c.1600s to earliest 1700s French Gobelin (or possibly Flemish) woven tapestry, the upper right corner of an outer border salvaged from a much larger wall tapestry, but very interesting subject-wise and also plenty to stitch to a lush velvet or silk panel and then work up as front to a lavishly fringed pillow. Figural fragments are so hard to find! This is a nice larger one 12" x 9.5" outer, and I have and will be listing more pieces from that same outer border of a much larger wall tapestry (sold separately), so you might want to choose several that are same panel, same age and work, colors. Ask if you need help finding them. This one being a suit of armor is so interesting, and will be just gorgeous accented there with perhaps antique metal (in gold) passsimenterie (trim), ribbon, something to add a
