Antique French PUIFORCAT Sterling Silver 6pc Meat & Salad Serving Utensil Set, Pele a Tarte
Gorgeous antique French PUIFORCAT hallmarked sterling silver 6pc meat & salad serving utensil or implement set including a rare pele a tarte or pele a pastry, all with an ornate guilloche style engraved or machined decoration and all in fabulous condition with fitted storage and/or presentation box! Not sure if the box is original but it works perfectly, a gilt embossed retailer label in the lid reads "Bijouterie Orfevrerie Joseph Coupris 1 Place De L'Ecluse Nantes". All pieces bear the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" within those marks means they're in .950 silver (95% pure and above the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The silversmith marks are for the world renowned Maison Puiforcat (EP for Emile Puiforcat) and they date to the late 1800s. Stunning, spoil yourself and your guests! Very good to excellent condition.
