Elegant Antique French Diademe or Tiara Ornamental Hair Comb, Tortoise Shell & Gems

Fabulous large antique French paste stones line the silver bar tiara, each one is 7mm, so it looks like a long row of 1 ct diamonds. They're that sparkling, which is what the old French paste stones are known for - mimic of diamonds. The perfectly preserved 19th century ornamental hair comb or tiara is nearly 5" long, a hinged mount to tortoise shell comb allows for a variety of ways to use it - chignon, or crown. Full measurements noted on the photos. Very good to excellent condition throughout, without a single bug bite or nip, no loss to the tines of the fine 19th century hand carved tortoise shell. The mount appears to be silver, and is heavy. It's a basin into which the 7mm paste 'diamonds' are set, so no loss to those and a brilliant light throughout. Hinge is working fine, no damage there, either.
