Gorgeous Vint. 1918 French Carved 22" Dresser or Boudoir Vanity Mirror, Rococo
Absolutely gorgeous vintage French hand carved 21 3/4" wide dresser top or boudoir vanity mirror, highly intricate Louis XVI rococo styling with original shaped & deeply beveled mirror, easel stand and wonderful condition! What a beauty! Perfect for dresser top or hall table display, it'd even be beautiful on the fireplace mantel, perhaps flanked by a host of wonderful portrait miniatures?? I pulled the wood backing off when we received it from France, just to clean the mirror without getting any windex on the wood and noticed the writing inside. Handwritten, I can't quite make all of it out but the date of 17/9/1918 is easily legible. A hair away from being 'antique', it'll be 100 years old in just a few. A beautiful work of art, guaranteed to impress! Very good to excellent condition. A small chip or two possible but, as you can see in the images but no notable flaws. There are a few small spots to the mirror but no chips, cracks or other damage. See pictures for measurements.
