Opulent Antique French Tortoise Shell Vanity Set, 18K Gold Cartouche - Tortoiseshell

Imagine the 19th century 'trousse de voyage' from which these remaining pieces must have come - what a prize it would have been! The pieces that remain here are pristine and elegant in their fine quality simple lines, and further amplified in cachet by the 18K gold monogram set into each of the matching pieces. A fine shoe horn, glove stretcher, manicure and clothing brushes and a hairbrush are the pieces comprising this set of 5, though I'm sure they are the 'leftovers' from a much larger set. Someone probably sold off all of the perfume and powder & vanity jars separately. Ah, if only we could reunite them.
