Pair Antique French Facet-Cut Garnet Tiara or Hair Ornamental Combs, Napoleon Iii Era

Garnets always photograph dark, look black, but as you can see, these are brilliant claret red and lovely old beads mounted on these 2 hair ornaments or pins. The gens are 12mm in diameter, and there are 9 on each of the hairpins. The mouth are nice quality, but not gold as you can see. Napoleon III era, c.1850-70s, perhaps earlier, it's fun to find the pair still together. Full measurements noted on the photos. Very good to excellent condition, no chips or flaws to the 18 large facet-cut beads, which are strung on a metal wire which attaches to the bar. Each have 2 tines, one will need to bend them a bit into shape that works if you're wanting to wear these. They're just in from France. Yes, it is possible they're Prussian.
