Working through loads of needlework and old woven Aubusson, Flemish, Verdure, Gobelin tapestry fragments and salvages which I once thought I'd make up into those lush fringed and down-filled decorator pillows we used to sell. I've collected these for decades while out buying antiques - just the best and most appealing panels, but it's time to disburse and let you make them up for your home or business. This offering is spectacular - early 17th century and would have been salvaged from the border of a massive wall tapestry of finest quality. Each of the 2 panels features an urn with floral arrangement, the yarn colors are fabulous, and not much faded from original (see back). The weave on these is very fine, yarns fine and of top quality in its time. The old tapestries often took years to complete, workers using many bobbins of colored fine wool and silk yarn and working a single color alternating. Looking at the backsides, you see how exquisitely fine the work is. A Master tapestry wea
