Rare Antique French 18th Century Tortoise Shell Nécessaire, Etui with Crochet Tambour and 6 Hooks

The last of my exquisite collection of Victorian era crochet tambour etui, tortoise shell case with an ivory handle and 6 interchangeable sizes of crochet hooks still in the case - rare to find! In decades, I'd acquired only 4 of these and this is the only one with a nearly complete tool set inside. For the collector or for those who crochet, it's a fabulous set. Full measurements noted on the photos. Note photos taken against silk embroidery panel, which is not included. It just makes photo taking much easier for color balance.  Very good to excellent condition for age and type, this dates between c.1850s - 1880s, properly the Napoleon III era - roughly Victorian to perhaps as late as Edwardian era. The case is remarkably fine for age, as you can see, slight roughness perhaps at corners but no losses. It's been very well preserved.
