Rare Pristine Antique Travel Valise, Suitcase, with Fitted Jars, Brushes of English Sterling
The condition of this suitcase and it's interior and vanity items would lead one to believe it has never been used, it's in such fine condition. An early 1900s case that's more a suitcase than the usual smaller valise-sized vanity cases we usually see. A traveler could certainly pack all they needed for a week in this one (or for a weekend for we more modern acquisitive types). The leather is thick, opulent and has a surface that is somewhat like shagreen, but this is not a shagreen case. A case and set so superb, they'll be more than tempting to actually use on your weekends away, or on your own Grand Tour of Europe as your carryon bag. The set is very good to excellent in condition, surely partly owing to the outer canvas cover, original to the valise. The outer canvas cover shows some age, and evidence of having been in storage, but it does not have any odor to deal with, nor does the set, itself. There is some shrinkage to the canvas resulting in us not being quite able to get the
