BlackSwaen Chocolate Barley brings deeper aroma for dark beers as well as beer color. A highly roasted malt w/a deep brown color. Used to adjust the color of beer & imparts a nutty, toasted flavor. Provides a less bitter flavor than BlackSwaen Black malt & is lighter also, because it is roasted for a slightly shorter period of time & the end temperatures are not so high.
