The Ford PIU S.T.A.R. (Spare Tire Access Rack) is a custom-built false floor for the Ford PIU. This access rack supports electronic storage, cargo storage, and equipment mounting without preventing access to the spare tire. When the spare tire is needed, simply flip open the two access latches and lift the rack. Electronics stay in the hidden electronics tray and lift with the platform until they are unlatched and swung down.
