Adapted posthumously from the Cat in the Hat illustration created for a special 1970 project for Sears, Roebuck & Co. In 2007, the 50th birthday of The Cat in the Hat was commemorated with the release of Ted’s Cat, a very personal, practically life-size, Dr. Seuss drawing, which occupied a spot in Ted’s studio for untold years.
