2021 Bordeaux White, Chateau Lardiley

Producer: Chateau Lardiley Wine: 2021 Bordeaux White Varietals: 100% Sauvignon Gris - pink-skinned mutation of the Sauvignon Blanc varietal.  Sauvignon Gris has slightly thicker skins and higher sugar levels and are richer, drier, and more voluptuous in texture than Sauvignon Blancs. Terroir: Average age of wines are 5 years old on limestone-clay soil. The vineyards and the adjacent farm use no synthetic, oenological or chemical matter (pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, sulfite) which allows for an extremely healthy soil providing rich nutrients required to produce quality grapes, produce and animals raised on the property. Organic.  Tasting Notes:  Elegant and dry style balanced by smooth texture from grapes picked at maturity, this wine offers fresh and complex citrus notes (zesty lemon, pink grapefruit) as well as hints of exotic fruit and fresh minerality.
