In Gillette’s most prolific suite, he pays homage to many of the greatest artists of our time. In this edition, the artist is Blek Le Rat. Xavier Prou (AKA BLEK LE RAT) has wondered the streets of Paris since the 1970s decorating the walls of the city with rats, the odd and random Mona Lisa as well as his now legendary “THE MAN WHO WALKS THROUGH WALLS”. In Banksy’s wall and piece (book) he remarked “every time I think I’ve done something new, I learned Blek did it twenty years ago”. GILLETTE IS, OF COURSE, THE INSPIRATION BEHIND BANKSY’S DISMALAND.
