Kaws has a long standing relationship with Bearbrick and his models, without doubt, are the most sought after from the hundreds of different variants. This was KAWS’ first Bearbrick release in 15 years, not since the fabled “Chomper” Bearbrick has the public been graced with an itineration of a fabled KAWS BEARBRICK 1000% . In 2002 KAWS released his first Bearbrick; his original companion, which has become a sought after grail. In 2021, in conjunction with his ”Tokyo First" exhibition, KAWS released this "Tension" variant. Styled after the print suite of the same title, this piece is sure to be a future grail.
