Beauty (Warhol Flowers)

This is a truly stunning piece. A modern masterpiece by one of today’s most promising artists. Nick Smith’s ”Beauty” is an homage to Andy Warhols’ “Flowers”. This is the more desirable of the original edition of 66 Smith ”Flowers” , ”Beauty” is the edition with the multi-colored flowers, whereas ”fame” are simply all yellow. The prints look absolutely stunning by themselves or as a Diptych. Smith’s originals are made with Pantone color swatches. Through a specialized digital (with a silkscreen varnish added after initial) printing process, the prints are nearly indistinguishable from the originals. One of my personal favorite aspects of the Nick Smith pieces, is the text that sits below the Pantone swatches. In this case, the text is taken from an Andy Warhol interview about ”Beauty ”.
