Extremely rare, hand signed ”Gold Flag” , framed to museum standard. This is an extremely iconic Banksy image, from an edition of only 112 plus an additional (20) Artist Proofs for ”The Ghetto Crew” . This edition was only available to purchase in person, at Santa’s Ghetto, Bethlehem. Flag shows a group of children and young adults standing victoriously atop a burned-out car raising the American flag. The protagonists are portrayed as disenfranchised urban youths. With only one touch of color, represented by a large gold or silver (according to the edition) sun or moon, the scene bears a melancholic and mournful tone.
