In 2019, the enigmatic Brian Donnelly (AKA KAWS ), opened his critically acclaimed exhibition; ”Companionship In the Age of Loneliness" at New Gallery Victoria in Melbourne, Australia. This era, perhaps, reflects the pinnacle of KAWS’ artistry. Immense fame as well as critical acclaim had found the artist, on the heels of ”Seeing/Watching” (China's only permanent art installation). Amidst a pre pandemic world; there had never been an artist who was able to walk the delicate dance of a critically acclaimed, contemporary artist as well as a pop culture phenomenon/ icon like KAWS (other than perhaps Andy Warhol ). In commemoration of this blockbuster exhibition, in cooperation with New Gallery Victoria, KAWS released the GONE portfolio. With an initial msrp of $4700 plus tax (and shipping if purchased abroad) this suite was around $5500. At the peak of KAWS’ market this suite was commanding nearly $20,000 in the secondary marketplace. This
