”Salvador Sale” , by the anonymous artist, Mason Storm, is a prime example of the artists wit as well as his undeniable skill at oil painting. Storm, a self taught oil painter, may very well be one of the most gifted oil painters of our time. Storm’s uncanny ability to replicate any work “To a T” has helped the artist forge a career based on various rumors and allegations that Storm is the ghost artist behind Banksy’s “Devolved Parliament”, also known as “Question Time”, prior to the works subsequent sale for $9.9 million dollars at auction. In this work, published by Stowe Editions in 2018, (from a small edition of only 50 works), you have the infamous Salvador Mundi (the world record for the sale of a piece of art at $500 million dollars), expertly replicated by Storm, with a “Reduced for Quick Sale Now $1.5 million” sticker, top left.
