Time Bokan (Green Variant)
APC ART is pleased to offer our global collector base this extraordinary Takashi Murakami print, “Time Bokan (Green).” Published by Kaikai Kiki Co., Tokyo in 2011, this work is executed as a lithograph with silkscreen varnish on wove paper, measuring 68 x 68 cm. From the limited edition of only 300, it is hand-signed and numbered by the artist. The “Time Bokan” series has become one of Murakami’s most iconic bodies of work. The green variant, with its bold skeletal imagery and luminous color field, embodies Murakami’s unique ability to juxtapose beauty and mortality. This contrast — a smiling skull set against vibrant, playful hues — has made “Time Bokan” a quintessential statement on Murakami’s recurring themes of impermanence, joy, and Japanese pop culture aesthetics. Takashi Murakami is internationally celebrated as the founder of the Superflat movement, bridging high and low culture, fine art and consumer culture, East and West. His works are exhibited in major museums worldwide
