The array has six auxiliary (AUX) elements evenly spaced out around the reference element (REF) in the middle. With this product, switching from a Fixed Reception Pattern Antenna to another platform is simple (FRPA). The four mounting holes in the CRPA are positioned and sized in accordance with FRPA design guidelines. The close spacing of the satellite antenna outputs, which is made possible by each CRPA element being coupled to a cable output terminated in a SMA connection, minimizes the need for platform modifications. The REF cable is phase-matched to the AUX cables inside the product, but it appears longer outside the product to make it simpler to identify the REF channel in confined installation spaces.
