Mountain Treasures At Rist: The Future of the Southern Appalachian National Forests by The Wilderness Society

First published in 1989, so out-of-date in some ways, but also really especially pertinent to today's realities. Really nice photos and charts and graphs, and I love the "Executive Summary" at the beginning that outlines what is covered. This book is scarce - sometimes no copies on line.  At this time only two. Washington, D.C.: The Wilderness Society, 1989. 50 pages plus appendices with a nice list of references, photos, charts, maps, and graphs.
