Rolled Toque
This warm woolen hat is rounded neatly at the crown and finished with a rolled brim, allowing you to turn it up or down as suits the day. It is shaped to sit comfortably upon the head, and its single-layer, medium-weight make is fitting for wear from the 17th century through the 18th and into the early 19th. I work these toques from a sound medium-weight wool—most often Bartlett’s 100% wool yarn, though Hand-Spun yarn may be had upon special order. All yarn is properly pre-shrunk before the knitting is begun. I use this same wool for our Hand-Wear, so you may easily order a well-matched set if you care to do so. If the color or size you seek is not presently on my shelf, do not trouble yourself; I can have one knitted for you in a couple of weeks. Simply place a pre-order, and I shall set to work. Hand-Spun orders take longer, as the wool must be spun as well as knit, and may require three or four months’ time. Kindly inquire after the colors I have available. Washing Instructions: Pla
