Made in Munich, Germany, this stein features a salt glaze stoneware finish and a pewter lid, reflecting the rich heritage of Hofbräuhaus, one of Munich's oldest breweries, founded in 1589. The beer stein, with a capacity of 0.5 liters (approximately 1 pint), is decorated with a cobalt blue HB and crown logo. It has a hand-applied handle and a heavy pewter lid with an embossed HB and crown logo, surrounded by the words "Kgl. Hofbräuhaus München." The "Kgl." stands for "Königlich" (Royal), indicating royal ownership before the monarchy was overthrown, after which the brewery became state-owned and "Staatl." replaced "Kgl."
