The Chanukah menorah, also known as a hanukkiah, is traditionally used during the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah. It consists of nine branches: eight for candles or oil lamps, symbolizing the eight nights of the holiday, with an additional light kindled each night until all eight are illuminated on the final night.
