Born and raised in Lima, he lived and worked near Paris for most of his life. In 1978, the artist became famous thanks to his portraits (Gilles Aillaud, Gérard Fromanger, Ribeyro, Jean-Michel Ribes...). His work was built around syncretism and the artistic and cultural, ethnic and political intermix.
