Arcel was a boxing trainer who was active from the 1920s – 1980s. he trained over 20 world champions. He began training fighters at Stillman's Gym, near the old location of Madison Square Garden on 8th Avenue, in the 1920s. Arcel retired from training, after being injured with a lead pipe during an attack in Boston, in a case that was never solved by police.  The photo was taken during the Yankees’ first day of training for their 1933 season. The players are seen near the batting cage. This original vintage photograph comes with an NFT.      This item will ship exactly as photographed in excellent Condition.
