'AIR' - Oil on Canvas

Part of the series i call, “Faux Bas-Reliefs”, Air is one of many works focussing on one of the four elements. In this view of Air, ambiguity is everything, there is no one interpretation. Is the woman changing form? Was she caught in time and now dissolving away along with the stone?  Is she emerging from a cocoon or consigned place where she was expected to stay forever? A moth forever dreaming of being a human or vice versa?
