CeraSyl™ silver-impregnated ceramic DE (diatomaceous earth) shell only, and the filter has no core material. The ceramic shell is silver impregnated to prevent bacteria growth and is self-sterilizing.  It allows to provide safe drinking water for gravity applications, removing unwanted sediment and bacteriologic contaminants.
