This hardy and undemanding plant is a mid-ground plant native to the shallow rivers of Sri-Lanka. Just like other Crypt species, this one requires stable water parameters and can't be moved all the time as the leaves will start to melt. It does not require CO2 injection but benefits from it as well as liquid fertilizers. This plant has slender leaves that are bright green in coloration and brown stems. When pruned every so often it will grow more like a bush instead of tall and high, which is more appealing.  Quite common in the aquarium hobby and great for beginners. It will propagate quickly by sending runners once settled in its new environment.
