Demonstrate Thermal Expansion with Bimetallic Strips Thin strips of two different metals (brass and Iron) are laminated together in this simple demonstration, also known as a Bimetallic Strip. Hold the bar over a flame and watch the bar bend because of the different thermal expansion rates. Bar length is 20 cm. Bar and handle length is 30 cm. Shown with the Micro Burner (C-1005)
