Concave Mega Mirror

This is the Concave mirror of the Mega Mirror Set. This extra-large parabolic mirror makes demonstrating optical principles a snap. Each aluminized mirror measures 24" in diameter and is supplied with a slotted stand. Activities and uses Show the properties of concave mirror so everyone can see. Place an object upside down at a point just beyond the focal point. An image will be perceived to be in front of the mirror. Place a screen with a platform at the point where the image appears. The image can only be seen by viewing along the principal axis and it will appear as though the doll is standing on the platform. Viewing away from the principal axis will reveal only a platform. An excellent demonstration and ideal for creating classroom discussion. Please note: The focal length on the Mega Mirrors is too short for Schlieren photography.
