One Full Pound (16oz) Fair Trade From Peru The name Cafe Femenino means quality coffee as well as women's equality. Cafe Femenino is the story of women.  Not just the women of rural communities in Peru, but of women throughout developing nations: women who have no rights, women who are abandoned, women who are abused, women who are alone with children and no income.  From the desire to change this situation, the Cafe Femenino Project was born. The all-women farmers participate in all farming activities such as preparing the terrain, nurseries, and composting.  They fertilize the soil, prepare bio-fertilizers, as well as harvesting, de-pulping, fermenting, and drying the coffee. The Cafe Femenino Project currently involves over 753 women coffee farmers.
