
Blacksmithing 101- Forging a Hook Homeschool Group (4 students max) ONE DAY CLASS/ 2 HOURS
In this single-session, two-hour course, you will learn the basics of forging and leave with a complete hook project. *This class has a maximum of 4 students, the price is for a group, not individual What to expect Introduction to the shop, safety rules, discussing goals and tools Demonstration of hammer techniques in clay and steel double striking, and going off on your own if time allows Breaks may be taken as needed Provided for you Gloves Safety glasses Hearing protection All Materials What to wear and bring Natural fiber clothes, long sleeve shirts, and pants (jeans or canvas) (100% cotton, wool, linen, silk) that can get dirty. Closed-toe shoes, preferably leather boots or canvas shoes, that can get dirty Water, blacksmithing will make you thirsty!
