Solid, locally and sustainably sourced maple wood is carefully cut, shaped and smoothed to a satin finish to create this 21 piece building block set with 8 different shapes. The base block unit is 1" and all the other blocks use multiples of 1" so that they will stack neatly and uniformly. The set comes complete with a heavy duty box for secure storage. Stacking blocks are the ultimate in open ended Montessori type play, encouraging imagination and story making; my wooden block set was a center point of my childhood and far and away my most loved items other than my teddy bear as a child.
