The very first time she ran her paw across a rough hewn sheet of paper, she knew what she wanted to do. She began making her own paper and binding her own small books well before completing her Caretaker training. During her Paperist Apprenticeship, she encountered Apprentice Ephemerist Clove Dewfield en route from the Ephemerist Burrow to the Reliquary of Wisdom Vault with a fresh batch of Human Ephemera. He paused to share the items with Myrtle, and she was so captivated by the variety of papers that she asked him to visit her often with new specimens. By the time both had completed their respective Apprenticeships, romance had blossomed and they were already an Accord.
