Kato’s respect for denim reaches back decades. Years of experience and research resulted in their own version of the sought after denim of the 70s. This fabric has been crafted with meticulous precision to replicate the uniform texture of the faded vintage denim collected for the Kato archives. The 12.5 ounce, 100% cotton denim does not have stretch but it will break in and mold to you, making it a pair you will want to wear for years. They wanted these jeans to be vintage down to the core details, so they introduced a button fly, using donut style laurel leaf buttons, which have been acid dyed to give them an authentic aged look. Kato also added a pop of color with a red leather patch, our own twist on the original.
