"Spending time gardening can be a rewarding experience. To see growth and life and really cherish it. This thickly textured oil replicates the out of focus framing of a camera mixed and highlights these beautifully ripe tomatoes. I originally painted these for a friend who is obsessed with tomatoes as a wedding present. But tomatoes always remind me of growing up and helping my Grandfather in the garden, my wife's love of cooking and the joining of friends around the table.
