Ireland is one of the most beautiful places in the world, from County Munster through the River Sharon and across the Blasket Islands. Irish collaborator David Hennessy (in Gaelick, Daithi Ohaonghusa) worked tirelessly to make the entire system work together. ABOUT THE IDEASo why all the circles? Research indicates that GPS's are hindering our ability to create mental maps of our surroundings. My maps aim to install a "Map from the Mind" for each city, simplifying structures and districts in the simplest terms. Each design is taken as a new challenge, using the knowledge of locals to create a map that is both beautiful and useful. ABOUT THE IDEAInformation is more fun to read when it's beautiful. I've designed these charts and maps with hours of research, reassembling data into a brain-friendly aesthetic. I edit the information significantly, avoiding the "dazzle" effect which occurs when our eyes are battered with too much information. Letterpress makes it even more gorgeous. ABOUT L
