2007 DC Batman Bapesta

Marked size: 11US Condition: used Bape made an extremely important impact on fashion in the early 2000’s with its large colorful designs and specifically the shoes. Bapestas are a take on what was once a popular yet bland Nike Air Force one, Nigo (the creator of Bape) decided to essentially make his own, wilder interpretation of Airforces with a shooting Bape “Sta” and wild materials and vibrant colors. This led companies including Nike to begin pushing the boundaries of the designs and colors for their shoes. This pair is from a collaboration with the comic book company DC, and was displayed in action figure type packaging when sold.
