Nero 12 A high-quality semi-gloss WW2 Italian black acrylic or enamel paint for scale models and creative work. Nero 12 Color Guide: Nero 12 is a deep black color produced by Duco, Inves, Sipa, Masciadri, and Max Meyer. It was used mainly for painting airplanes. Nero 12 along with Bianco Neve 6 was widely used for markings, aircraft formation codes, stencils, etc. on Italian aircraft in the 1930s and 1940s. From the early 1940s, Nero 12 was used to paint propeller blades on Italian aircraft. The propeller tips were painted yellow Giallo Cromo 7 for safety reasons.
