Senecio rowleyanus 'String of Pearls'

String of Pearls is a succulent vine native to southwest Africa, the area they grow in is usually a more drier climate. Advanced pearl tips: We've owned a lot of these but we finally have down a care recipe that actually works. These are not one to overwater or underwater. The key to this is throwing everything you think you know or have heard about caring for them and just wait for the pearls to "pucker" usually they are plump and firm and when they are ready to take in more water they will get a tad softer. Check frequently about every 5 days how firm the pearls are because to be honest the soil could be COMPLETELY dry but the pearls aren't ready to take in water. Usually we water ours about every 3 weeks when you get into the 4-5 week stage this will completely dry out the roots and when you go in for a water the plant will rot from shock. Plant these in succulent mix usually faster draining. Regardless if you repot into dry soil still wait for the pearls to pucker before watering.
